| A lifelong dream to work together was realized for Bob and Chip Harris with the acquisition of a restaurant & bar they rechristened Harry O’s Family Sports Pub. The brothers, together with Bob’s wife, Barbara, envisioned a unique environment where die-hard sports fans and families alike could enjoy fine food, drink and entertainment. Especially entertainment. Included in their extensive renovation plans were provisions for the latest entertainment technologies, an investment they considered essential to their business plan. |
 |
| In addition to offering their customers premium Sports programming via satellite on High Definition monitors, the Harris’s planned on several at-table entertainment options including KEENO and NTN, which offers a variety of multiplayer video games like Texas Hold ‘Em. |

Most importantly, they wanted to ensure that every seat in the house had a good view of a monitor. “We wanted to have technology throughout the restaurant for families to enjoy”, says Barbara. “This way, parents can enjoy their dinner while their children play games or watch TV”.
Site Developer Don Anderson took the Harris’s requirements and after a careful audit of the existing space and it’s AV capabilities, specified a collection of 2 NEC HDTV Plasma monitors and 16 Sharp HDTV LCD monitors to display content from satellite or an Off-Air High Definition Antenna. Four 27” Toshiba CRT televisions provided an inexpensive display solution for the KEENO on-screen games which do not need a High Definition platform. So no one misses any game action, each bathroom sports a 15” LCD display. Barbara says, “people are usually in awe when they go into our bathrooms!” Anderson gutted the outdated audio system replacing it with 2 Speco amplifiers capable of handling all TV audio, background music and paging functions. A collection of 14 pairs of loudspeakers from Speco and Sonance round out the audio finish |
 |
| Harry O’s opened to huge crowds and endless complements about the interior facelift, especially the technology. “We feel it really makes us unique to this area and it certainly helps us stand out” says Barbara. “We make reference to it in all of our advertising”, she says. With the ability to entertain bar patrons and restaurant-goers alike, there is little doubt that Harry O’s will have continued success |
